These shots were taken for a project entitled 'Nanakat (Belonging to Us)', a poetographic piece to be published in Awaaz Magazine in early 2013. The piece compares a crucial event in Australian Indigenous history, the Stolen Generation, with the events that took place during the Mau Mau Upsiring in Kenya. The model is a Kenyan woman living in Australia.
